UK ASA SANCTIONS STARSPINS AND WILLIAM HILL ADS

Terms and conditions need to be clearly explained, says AD watchdog.

In the latest round of advertising complaints and investigations, the UK Advertising Standards Authority has deemed a Profitable Play t/a Starspins“Refer a Friend” promotion to be misleading as significant conditions were not clearly explained.

The ASA also upheld complaints against two William Hill December promotions, both of which the ASA found the wording of the promotion’s terms and conditions to be unclear and contradictory.
