1/23/2012 : Hat trick in Canada as software supplier becomes third provincial lottery provider

Online gaming software supplier OpenBet has partnered with Canada's Atlantic Lottery to successfully launch its sports-betting platform.

OpenBet’s platform is now used for the purchase of Atlantic Lottery's PRO•LINE sports wagers through both retail and online platforms and provides players with access to an extensive range of statistical content, feeds and forums.

Three of five Canadian provincial lotteries are provided gaming solutions by OpenBet:  Atlantic Lottery, British Columbia Lottery Corporation and Loto-Québec.

David Loveday, chief executive of OpenBet, said: “This launch is further proof of the strength of OpenBet’s technology offering and our expertise in working with major government-backed organisations across the gaming world.  We are proud to be the sports-betting technology provider of choice for Atlantic Lottery. We look forward to working closely with them to provide a dynamic online gaming and betting experience to their customers.”

Joey Cormier, sports category manager for Atlantic Lottery, said; “OpenBet offers us a world-class sports-betting platform and a dedicated, knowledgeable team. This was a complex technology project that involved multiple vendors and integration points. Thanks to OpenBet’s expertise, we’ve successfully launched a sports-betting experience that our players are enjoying.”

OpenBet's successful lottery supply expansion in the Canadian lottery sector has led to an increase in its Montréal operations and development team.
