02/08/2012 : BALLY TECH MAKES FURTHER INROADS INTO ONLINE GAMBLING
B2B remote gaming server launched
Land gambling supplier Bally Technologies continued its venture into the online gaming space this week with the announcement that it has launched a new Remote Gaming Server (RGS) product for online and mobile gaming.
The RGS product enables access to Bally’s diverse library of casino-gaming content, via a one-time integration, a company spokesperson revealed. These interactive versions will offer enhanced bonusing, play mechanics, progressives, and other features, he said.
“The Bally Remote Gaming Server allows operators to integrate Bally games into their online portals. When combined with Bally’s systems, the Bally Interactive products will deliver a single-view of the player – on the casino floor, at home, and on the move. The way in which these products will be integrated across multiple platforms will provide powerful cross-marketing tools for operators and dynamic bonusing benefits for their players.”
The new product means that in addition to wager-based gaming applications, traditional (land) casino operators without an online-gaming presence now have the ability to supplement their land-based gaming with play-for-free games using the Bally RGS.
The technology will also be used as part of Bally’s business-to-business social initiatives in supporting the growing number of operators interested in entering the social-gaming space. Over the next 12 months, Bally plans to integrate more Interactive products into its systems across a wide range of operational functions.
“Bally’s integration of the RGS into our cloud-based mobile platform gives operators the ability to incorporate our play-for-free or wager-based games into their mobile offerings,” said Bally senior vice president of technology Bryan Kelly. “This means they can deliver a virtualized casino experience for players online and through their mobile devices.”
