Belgium Bans 4 more online casinos

List now numbers 78 ‘casinos non grata'.
 
The Belgium Gaming Commission's blacklist of online gambling operators it wants banned by ISPs and banking institutions was again expanded this week, bringing to 78 the number of operators unlicensed by Belgium yet still allegedly accessing its players.
 
The latest additions are 1bet2bet.com, Casino-Belgie.com, Betsafe.com and Intercasino.com. They join a distinguished list of tier one online gambling operators already on the list that includes 888poker , Betsson, bet365, Will Hill and Betfair (see previous InfoPowa reports).
 
So far, the cooperation of Belgian ISPs has been on a voluntary basis and has reportedly been half-hearted, with at least 50 percent of ISPs opting out of the blacklist idea.
 
Punitive fines await operators, marketers and even players if they are successfully prosecuted by the Belgian authorities.
