Company's newly launched social slot app is tops on USA Apple Store.
 
Social games developer Diwip Ltd, which is about to be acquired by Canadian-listed online gambling group Imperus Inc.,  has claimed that its popular Best Casino Social Slots app launched via the US Apple iStore earier this (January) month has already soared to top spot in its US casino category, besting even runaway successes like Candy Crush.
 
To date, Diwip has generated a majority of its revenues from similar games on a desktop platform, and the company's is expected to boost future growth.
 
Commenting on Diwip's achievement, Imperus CEO Daniel Kajouie said:
 
"It is exciting to witness the successful launch of Diwip's social slots in the iOS App Store in the United States. Mobile gaming has been growing exponentially and Diwip's successful launch of its popular desktop game on iPhones in the USA is a very promising development. We look forward to seeing Diwip release this title on other mobile platforms such as Android's Google Play store in short order."
 
Imperus executed a share purchase agreement last year with Diwip and its shareholders, which will result in Imperus acquiring all of the issued and outstanding shares of Diwip by the end of January 2015.
 
Diwip will prove a useful addition to Imperus activities in social networking, mobile gaming, and real money gaming. The Toronto-listed company has developed a social gaming software platform titled Casina.
