42 Registered for Big One for One Drop

Saturday June 23, 2012 : ENTRY LIST GROWS FOR POKER'S BIGGEST TOURNAMENT (Update)

Ivey and Einhorn latest additions to a million dollar entry list

The $1 million buy-in Big One for One Drop charity tournament attracted two more major players this week when Phil Ivey and hedge fund manager David Einhorn threw their hats into the ring following the withdrawal of Tony Guoga.

Internationally famous Phil Ivey needs little introduction, whilst Einhorn is the founder and president of Greenlight Capital, a $7.8 billion hedge fund in Manhattan.

Einhorn is no stranger to tournament action; he finished eighteenth in the 2006 main event, generously donating his $659,730 in winnings to charity, a course he says he plans to follow if he wins the Big One.

The entry field remains around the 42 mark, still short of the 48-player cap imposed by the organisers Caesars Entertainment.
