Bit8 awarded Romanian Gambling License

ROMANIAN REGULATOR ISSUE BIT8 B2B LICENSE

Company looks to expand further in this market.

Gaming platform software provider Bit8 has been awarded a B2B license to continue operating in the re-regulated Romanian market.

The company intends expanding its already “significant” presence in the market leading on from its partnership with the country’s largest retail and online bookmaker SuperBet.

"Romania is an exciting market, and we are thrilled to have received our licence from the regulator. Its testament to the quality of our platform that it passed so quickly; it has always been scalable and designed to be multi-jurisdictional,” Angelo Dalli, chief executive officer for Bit8 said.

InfoPowa readers will recall lottery and gambling systems provider Intralot acquired a 35 percent stake in bit8 earlier this year.  As part of the deal, Intralot has first option to increase its stake by up to 60 percent within the next two years.
