Las Vegas-based testing agency BMM International is expanding its operations, quadrupling the size of its offices and embarking on a 100 software engineer recruiting initiative, massively boosting its current staff of 50.

Spokesperson Wendy Anderson said this week that the company moved to Las Vegas from Australia a decade ago and hopes to be approved by Nevada regulators for their outsourced testing activity.

She said that growth in both land and online gambling activity as legalization changes, and the Nevada regulator's stated intention to outsource testing were at the heart of the company's expansion.

“We hope to be able to offer our testing and certification services for Nevada manufacturers at the discretion of the Nevada Gaming Control Board,” Anderson said, adding that there had been keen interest from Nevada gaming manufacturers in the services offered by her company.

“As the online sector develops in the United States, we are using our expertise more and more to support this growth across our ever-increasing roster of online customers,” Anderson said.

BMM's new premises near the Las Vegas airport will include training and educational facilities, along with laboratories and workshops.
