Bodog Europe Exits Spanish Gambling Market

03/21/2012 : BODOG EXITS SPANISH MARKET (Update)

From the U.S. to Europe…

Ahead of the implementation of new Spanish online gambling regulations and the issuing of licencing to approved applicants, Bodog Europe has withdrawn from the market

Spanish customers are reportedly being asked by Bodog Europe to request withdrawals on the outstanding balance in their accounts as these would be shut-down at the end of March 2012.

Similar action from Microgaming during the licence approval process was undertaken earlier this year; however, it is thought that Bodog Europe is not one of the 50 plus operators standing in queue for a Spanish licence.

Bodog closed its services to customers from the U.S. State of Maryland earlier this month along with what is thought to be the States of New York, Washington and Utah
