Bruno Lopes wins World Poker Tour Cannes

Bruno “Kool Shen” Lopes has the rhythm in poker, too
 
French rap star Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes showcased another talent over the weekend when he bested a field of 338 players to win the World Poker Tour Cannes main event, earning a cool Euro 100,500 for his time and trouble.
 
The $2,045 buy-in competition took three days to produce a final table on which Lopes faced Louis Gorostis, Yannick Massa, Robert Giordano, Thomas Fara and Antonin Teisseire.
 
Heads up, it was Lopes vs. Louis Gorostis, with the rapper dominating the exchange to win the match. Gorostis took home a runner up prize of Euro 70,500.
 
Lopes has proved to be a formidable opponent on the poker felt, winning the Euro Finals of the Poker Diamond Championship for $127,514 in January this year, and managing a very competent fourth place at the European Poker Tour Madrid main event for $183,660 in March.
