Caesars Getting Ready For Nevada Online Poker Launch

Saturday June 1, 2013 : CAESARS GEARING UP FOR ONLINE POKER LAUNCH IN NEVADA

Big promos linked to World Series of Poker on offer

Caesars Interactive Entertainment has given clear notice that it is serious about entering the intrastate online poker in Nevada, this week introducing a string of promotions linked to its ownership of the World Series of Poker brand.

Punters pre-registering at WSOP.com at the Rio during this year’s tournament will be eligible to receive some of the $700,000 largesse that CIE is making available for its promos.

All pre-registered WSOP.com players will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” promo in which 36 randomly-selected winners will be awarded a seat into the next day’s first-up WSOP gold bracelet event.

And one of those seats will be worth $111,111 – a crack at the One Drop High-Rollers No-Limit Hold’em tournament that will probably generate a $10 million prize pool.

$182,333 of the promotional budget has been earmarked for WSOP tournament seats, including one for the $10,000 buy-in WSOP Main Event.

Then there's the “Hot Seat” promotion, a randomly awarded $500 online account booster for players who have pre-registered and wear a WSOP.com patch to show it.  There will be plenty of those dished out from the budgeted $32,000 for this promo.

Finally “Online Nine” and the “WSOP.com Online Championships" will see around $500,000 in cash handed to players through events like a $100,000 Freeroll in October 2013 – the winner of that will get an opportunity to win the $100,000 first prize in an ancillary online event in November, when the World Series of Poker main event final table reconvenes at the Rio.
