China Lottery Sales rise 10.4 percent year-on-year

CHINA LOTTERY SALES CONTINUE UPWARD TREND IN AUGUST
 
Sales rise 10.4 percent year-on-year.
 
China's lottery sales continued on an upward trend in August 2016, rising 10 percent y-o-y to 31 billion yuan (US$4.7 billion), with the sports lottery again the most active with a 15.7 percent increase to 15.1 billion yuan.
 
Ministry of Finance figures revealed that the welfare lottery reported sales up 5.8 percent to 15.9 billion yuan.
 
Year to date aggregate sales are up 6.1 percent year-on-year at 257.7 billion yuan.
