Cineplex and SOny Team up for eSports tournaments

Cinema chain teams up with Sony Computer Entertainment to present eSports tournaments.
 
Cineplex is wasting no time in exploiting its $10 million acquisition of the World Gaming eSports platform last September, starting the new year by partnering up with Sony Computer Entertainment to present eSports tournaments.
 
Sony will provide the sponsorship and the right to select other title sponsors and Cineplex the venues, with qualifying rounds online starting this weekend for the first event, followed by live competitions  featuring Call of Duty:Black Ops 3 at 24 Cineplex theatre complexes in February and a grand finale early in March with a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000.
