Sportech plc has appointed Cliff Baty as CFO

Cliff Baty will report direct to chief executive Ian Penrose
 
Gambling operator and pools and tote gaming supplier Sportech plc has appointed Cliff Baty as chief financial officer based at Sportech's head office in London, UK, and reporting directly to CEO Ian Penrose.
 
Baty, who takes up his Sportech duties mid-May 2013, is currently with the Ladbrokes online and land gambling group, where he is finance director of both international businesses and corporate development. Prior to this, he was finance director of its Ladbrokes e-gaming business. He has been with Ladbrokes for 7 years and prior to that was group financial controller of Hilton Group plc.
 
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young, where he worked for 10 years.
 
Steve Cunliffe, the current finance director at Sportech, will be leaving the company on 6 March 2013.
