Colin Child Resigns From Rank Group

Chairman of the audit committee resigns.
 
The online gambling company The Rank Group plc announced Tuesday that Colin Child, its senior independent director and chairman of the audit committee, has resigned from the board with immediate effect.
 
Child joined the board of Rank on 1 January 2012 and became senior independent director and chairman of the nominations committee on 1 July 2013.  He became chairman of the audit committee on 17 October 2013.
 
Rank's chairman and chief executive, Ian Burke, is leading the search for a new senior independent director, and said of Child's departure: 
 
"I would like to thank Colin for his commitment and hard work during his time with Rank.  The board is extremely sorry to see him go."
