CyberCrooks Bested


Eastern European internet crooks stole $70 million from a wide range of online users and enterprises.
 
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation has announced a major success, breaking up and catching an international cyber-rime ring that stole $70 million from a diversity of internet users and online businesses.
 
Twenty suspects have been detained in New York and Eastern Europe, many of them in the Ukraine where they worked as web developers, an official statement revealed.
 
The accuseds are alleged to have used an unspecified Trojan Horse virus to access and exploit the victims’ financial records and accounts.
 
The FBI is still hunting down 17 others, and has published a ‘wanted’ poster featuring their likenesses.
