Tuesday, December 29, 2015 :  CZECH GOVERNMENT TO TIGHTEN GAMBLING RESTRICTIONS

Prague's 200 gaming bars initially targeted.

Radio Prague reports that the Czech Finance Minister and ANO leader Andrej Babiš has launched administrative proceedings to curtail the licenses of 200 gaming bars in Prague.

The report claims the government's intention is to tighten the rules governing gambling businesses in order to limit the number of gambling venues, which will in future be restricted.

The move has already attracted flak from the Gaming Industry Union, a trade association, which has warned that imposing such restrictions will result in operators switching to the online environment.
