Judge sentences BetED boss to two-year probation
 
Prosecutions launched by Maryland enforcement agencies in mid-2011 against Darren Wright who headed up the now defunct online gambling operation BetED.com have reportedly culminated in a two-year probationary sentence handed down by Maryland District Court Judge Catherine C. Blake earlier this week.
 
Wright, who pleaded guilty to conducting an illegal gambling business, was initially indicted along with David Parchomchuk (who co-operated with authorities in return for lesser charges) and Ann Marie Puig in Case 1:11-cr-00238-CCB – USA v. Thrillx Systems, Ltd. et al
