The Danish Gambling Authority (DGA) or SKAT has banned advertising by unlicenced gambling operators in an advisory posted on its website this week.
 
The authority warns those who ignore the ban that they face stiff fines and clarifies advertising as "any form of advertising or other dissemination of information on a gambling providers business, including the game provider's website, contact details and offerings in print, digital or television media formats.
 
Sponsorships in any form are also covered by the general rules and regulations of advertising.
