Friday , September 30, 2011 : Latest rendition of an old favourite blends the screens

IGT Interactive, the collective for the Wagerworks and other online gambling games development companies in the IGT group, has announced the launch of a new version of an old online favourite, Da Vinci Diamonds.

The original game became a major attraction when launched, featuring as it did the innovative ‘tumbling reels' concept, in which reels fall into place a la Tetris or Bejeweled, rather than actually spinning.

Players seemed to be particularly pleased with the dramatic way in which wins were depicted, exploding across their screens and adding a new dimension to the Free Spins, Bonuses, Wilds and other features in the game.

Davinci Diamonds Dual Play is the latest offering from the company, giving the player the ability to effectively play two games at once, each on its own screen, but merging into one game with additional paylines when free spins are won.

Davinci Diamonds fans will immediately recognise the glittering gem symbols across 40 paylines in six rows, split between the two screens/games. The ‘tumbling reels' feature has also been retained, creating an ongoing avalanche of symbols and the opportunities for reward which they present.

Players will also find the new Extra Paylines Free Spins Bonus, which is triggered when three bonus symbols appearing on reels 1, 2 and 3, introducing 20 additional paylines across both sections of the reels, and presenting players with a mammoth 60 paylines matrix on which to score winning combinations.

Because the game is so graphics-intensive, IGT has made it possible for players to choose their own settings, offering High, Medium and Low resolution modes conform the game to their personal requirements and hardware.
