More detail has emerged on the burglary at World Series of Poker champion Jonathan Duhamel's Montreal home earlier this week  in which the Quebec poker ace was tied up, threatened with death and beaten by the robbers.

Duhamel has revealed that among the burglars' spoils was his 2010 WSOP main event winner's bracelet, several Euro 500 bank notes and a black Rolex Submariner watch.

In a statement, Duhamel said that although his injuries were thankfully not serious, he was "exhausted both physically and mentally" by his ordeal, and would take some timeout with his family to recover over the festive season.

The poker champion said that the items stolen have a great sentimental value and were personalised with engraving.

"I would humbly appreciate that those who might have information about one or the other of these items or individuals who committed the assault take the time to contact police at (450) 463-7211. All information will be treated anonymously," he wrote.
