Football meets poker meets horseracing – benefits charity
 
French operator Pari Mutuel Urbain was named an official sponsor of LEuropean Football Poker Tour  earlier this week.
 
PMU Poker will sponsor the inaugural EFPT, a tournament supported by poker, football and horseracing personalities whose main objective is to raise money for charities.
 
The tournament which will be held in Paris at l’Aviation Club de France from May 30 to June 2, 2013 will include a Main Event Euro 1,000 buy-in and a "Tournament of Legends" Euro 500 buy-in featuring footballers, jockeys and other personalities from the poker world.
 
Stéphane Auffret, marketing director for PMU Poker emphasised the importance of PMU being associated with a project that includes the three disciplines and charity.
 
The tournament was conceptualised by Philippe Gauthier and funds raised will support six charities that do not benefit from wide public exposure, the EFPT said.
