Isle of Man-headquartered Continent 8 Technologies and Microgaming take the awards

Internet technology service provider Continent 8 Technologies and online gaming software provider Microgaming were recognised for their achievements and honored at the eGaming Review B2B Industry Awards held in London late last week.

Isle of Man-headquartered Continent 8 Technologies was awarded Data Centre of the Year, its fourth consecutive win.  It was recognised for another 12 months of commitment and investment in delivering products and services tailored for the eGaming sector.  New data centres in Dublin and Guernsey (to host Alderney licenced operators and software), as well as an increased Global Private Network and enhanced product offerings were some of the flagship developments the firm was recognised for over the past year.

And their momentum continues with extensive expansion projects underway at its Isle of Man and Gibraltar data centres to meet customer demand, the likelihood of additional data centres and the pursuit of facilities in the US and Asia clearly in focus.

Nick Nally, Chief Development Officer at Continent 8 Technologies said: “Continent 8 is honoured to be recognised in this category once again. Our continued success is underpinned by a dedication to customer service, and we will continue to build on our global footprint, network, services and people to support our expanding customer base."

Online gaming software provider Microgaming walked away with an impressive three awards, winning Poker Software of the Year, Innovation in RNG Casino Software and Innovation in Bingo awards.  Additionally, the company was named Highly Commended in the Live Casino Supplier of the Year category.

Roger Raatgever, chief executive officer of Microgaming, said: “It is always nice to receive recognition for our software, and the hard work and commitment that goes into developing our innovative gaming solutions. To obtain an award for three different products, Casino, Poker and Bingo, highlights our dedication to consistently provide the best gaming software across all products and all platforms.”

Microgaming was shortlisted for nine awards which included one nomination for Quickfire, powered by Microgaming, confirming it firmly a leader in its field.
