EVEREST POKER ACCEPTED INTO iPOKER 2 NETWORK

Saturday November 3, 2012 : EVEREST POKER ACCEPTED INTO iPOKER 2 NETWORK (Update)

New network has a recreational player emphasis

Everest Poker's move from its parent Everest-Betclic network to Playtech's iPoker offering was announced earlier this week although there was uncertainty regarding which of iPoker's two tiers it would occupy.

The confusion has been cleared up by iPoker, which confirmed that the new arrival would join the more recreational player-friendly iPoker 2, where it will join companies like Bet365, Paddy Power, Poker770, Titan, William Hill and Winner Poker.

To qualify for a position on the iPoker 2 network, operators must maintain a base of 6,000 monthly active players and introduce 850 new players each month, in addition maintaining a balance between recreational and winning players.

It appears that the online poker offerings of the other Betclic-Everest subsidiary, bet-at-home, will be remaining on GTechG2's International Poker Network.

The independent online poker monitor, Pokerscout, estimates that the addition of Everest could boost iPoker traffic by as much as 15 percent, guaranteeing its position as second highest traffic generator behind Pokerstars.
