DraftKings $1M Guarantee on Big Swing

FANDUEL ANNOUNCES GUARANTEES OF $1 MILLION ON NEW DFS EVENT

FanDuel has responded to this weeks news that rival DraftKings is to offer MLB-themed tournaments with guarantees of over $5 million by announcing that it is to invest $1 million next month as a prize pool guarantee for an MLB-related event branded Big Swing.
 
The new tournament follows the conclusion of FanDuels 2016 World Fantasy Baseball Championship and Single Entry Series earlier this month and means that the operator will have paid out a total of just over $2.5 million in the trio of events over the past two month alone.
 
Big Swing will have a guaranteed $1 million prize pool, and is scheduled to kick off in the first week of September with satellite and $1,500 direct entry facilities. The contest will feature a total of 740 seats, and the prize pool will be divided up among the top 135 finishers.
