Full Tilt Poker is now firmly back in the game under its new Rational Group ownership and this Sunday launches the twenty second edition of its popular Full Tilt Online Poker Series, with 38 tournament events scheduled, culminating in the main event on March 31st.
 
This time around the company has guaranteed a total of $10 million across the events.
 
The format for FTOPS XXII includes some fresh twists, including the NL Irish Knockout tournament, Escalator tournament, and the 5-Card Stud events, augmenting the fast-fold Rush Poker tournament and the special “Bouncebackability Freeroll” into the main event for the bubble boys across the 37 other events.
 
A range of merchandise, bragging rights and free entry prizes will be awarded to individual event winners, final tablers and leaderboard champs in the series.
 
In related news, the Pokerstars Micromillions is well into its stride this weekend with six events and nearly $350,000 in guaranteed prizes. The guarantees have so far proved unnecessary as punters pitched up in droves, building almost $700,000 in prizes for the top finishers.
 
Event 2 alone pulled in 49,977 players and paid $18,500 to the winner.
 
Event 4, a new addition based on the fast-fold Zoom Poker genre, stirred up a storm of interest, with 30,000 players registering and the winner taking home $10,000.
