Gaimerz intends to launch e-sports betting platform in Q1-2015

Saturday January 17,2015 : SOCIAL GAMING OPERATOR PLANS MOVE INTO SPORTS BETTING

Gaimerz intends to launch e-sports betting platform in Q1-2015.

The general video gaming operator Gaimerz.com has confirmed that it intends to launch a peer-to-peer social skill-based virtual sports betting site before the end of April this year.

Users will pay a monthly subscription as low as GBP4.99 to use the sites p2p services, which enable them to bet against other members on a variety of sports. They will be required to state how proficient they are at video games, and other players will be encouraged to submit negative feedback on an opponent if he or she has misrepresented their level of ability.

Martyn Denney, co-founder of Gaimerz said Friday: “E-sports is now big business and we believe that our platform will allow video gamers the world over to challenge each other.

“We feel that there is a real opportunity to link players together and to give them the opportunity to test their skills against others in both a safe and enjoyable manner.

Gaimerz describes its core business as "Fusing online gaming with traditional and social betting."

The company's peer to peer subscription-based platform enables users to create, post and participate in challenges based upon their own favourite, and other popular, video games. Players can elect to focus on social betting or traditional wagering when “locking in” the challenge with a competitor.

Gaimerz.com is not a wagering platform per se, but facilitates competition between users, who decide privately if they wish to place a bet on any specific challenge that has been created by another subscriber.
