New Gambling Advertising eLearning module launched

U.K.G.C. WANTS TO EDUCATE ONLINE GAMBLING MARKETERS

New Gambling Advertising eLearning module launched.

The UK Gambling Commission is addressing what is clearly a need for online gambling marketers to better understand and comply with rules and regulations around the advertising of gambling services in Britain.

The Advertising Standards Authority has been increasingly clamping down on unsuitable advertising and promotional offers recently, particularly in regard to email and television advertising.

The Commission has now launched a new CAP eLearning module titled Responsible Ads: Gambling Advertising, which has been designed to provide gambling advertisers with the tools they require to produce ads that comply with the Advertising Codes.

The UK advertising regulations for gambling are amongst the strictest in the word, the Commission claims, but by using the new module operators can learn about the advertising rules and how these apply from the experts who wrote the Code.

Real-life rulings and interactive questions provide users with the knowledge necessary to create responsible, compliant gambling campaigns in a course that includes:

* The correct way to frame Terms and Conditions;
* Social, cultural and religious responsibility, with emphasis on material that might appeal to minors;
* Gambling rules in S.16 of the CAP Code with references to real-life examples illustrating the practical findings by adjudicators;
* Guidance on how betting tipsters can remain responsible when promoting their services;
