Gus Hansen scores $1.57 million in a 19 hour session

High stakes poker pro Gus The Great Dane Hansen came in from the cold Wednesday, turning around a persistent cooler that has seen losses eating into his online poker bankroll for some months.

The publication High Stakes Database reports that Hansen's fortunes dramatically improved in a 19 hour session on the Full Tilt Poker FLO8 and 2-7 Tripledraw nosebleed tables Wednesday when he took home a profit of $1.57 million after tangling with players like Kyle “KPR16” Ray, Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Alexander “PostFlopAction” Kostritsyn, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond, Kyle “cottonseed1” Hendon, “samrostan” and “SallyWoo”.

Viktor Bom experienced one of his monumental downswings, losing $627,533 in 2,138 hands, and Kyle Ray did even worse, losing $722,000 to Hansen. Alexander Kostritsyn had a bad day at the office as well, leaving  $578,778 down.

High Stakes Data Base notes that Hansen is now down just $1,498,844 in 2013, trailing Phil “Polarizing” Ivey, who is a $2,297,409 loser.
