Gutshot Poker acquired by Betsnetwork Group

Thursday March 28,2013 : GUTSHOT POKER CHANGES HANDS

New owner moves operations to Revolution Poker Network

Gutshot Poker, an online poker company that has seen more than its fair share of trials and tribulations on the Merge Poker Network, has a new owner following its acquisition by the Betsnetwork Group.

The change of ownership has been accompanied by a switch to the US-facing Revolution Poker Network, which has been troubled of late by late pay-outs to operators and players, according to reports on many information sites.

Intriguingly, Gutshot will also apparently operate on two other networks – Amaya's Ongame and Play2B.

The new management is hardly doing players a favour in telling them that their deposits have been converted to bonuses which require them to meet conditions including set rake rates before they can make withdrawals.

There's also a controversial rule that appears to require players to play on a regular basis; for every month they do not play, the operator will chop 10 percent of their account balances.

Players have a deadline of April 7 to log in and accept these conditions, the implication being that there is really no alternative.

Gutshot is being operated by Goalgaming Ltd., which is related to the Play2B network and its founder, Francesco Merighi. The company has indicated that it plans to introduce casino games and sports betting to the Gutshot operation soon.
