Virtual cash earned by UK players of We R Interactive's social football game I AM PLAYR can now use their earnings to place bets on real world sporting events such as English Premier League matches through a new Betfred.com sports betting integration that will see live odds from the UK bookmaker fed into the social game.
The innovation is an extension of Betfred.com's branded content partnership with I AM PLAYR that most recently saw its Cheltenham Gold Cup sponsorship feature in the game.
An I AM PLAYR spokesperson said the game has grown a large and active audience who are spending over 50 minutes per day playing the game and who heavily engage, interact and consume with the branded content on the platform.
Betfred.com managing director Chris Sheffield said: “I AM PLAYR is innovative and Betfred.com want to be part of this. The game is all about interaction and the game will raise awareness of Betfred.com while entertaining the players.”
