IGT’S WAGERWORKS AND MILLION-2-1 GROUPS TO MERGE


Experienced industry executives to manage new interactive division
 
International Game Technology (IGT) who specialises in the design, development, and manufacture of gaming machines and systems products, as well as online and mobile gaming solutions for regulated markets, announced the creation of an interactive division within the Company which will see their online and mobile businesses merged.
 
IGT's WagerWorks and Million-2-1 will merge into a single global division that will be headquartered in San Francisco, California and headed up by Gideon Bierer, IGT executive vice president.
 
“As technology advances and markets evolve, we look forward to accelerating our product innovation and significantly growing our interactive business", said Gideon Bierer.
 
The new division serves customers in regulated, legal markets globally and the management team brings a wide range of experience from the gaming, technology and content industries including executives from St. Minver, Yahoo!, Paypal, Paddy Power, Oracle, MTV Networks, Fox, EA, Hewlett-Packard, Hands-On Mobile, Sony, Victor Chandler, and the UK Tote.
