IGT AND iPRO IN ITALIAN SPORTS BETTING DEAL

Ringit platform integrated with Lottomatica in time for Euro 2016 football finale.

Seattle-based social and sports games developer iPro has announced an agreement with IGT which will see its real-time sports gaming platform, ringit!, on the IGT-owned Lottomatica Italian sports betting platform for 2016s UEFA Euro Cup finale.

Fans will be invited to win cash in ringit! by predicting what will happen next during the key football matches, with tournaments that allow them to predict dozens of in-game events including which players will score goals, have shots on and off target, take corner kicks, or be issued yellow or red cards.

Leveraging Betradars real-time data and iPros patented technology, ringit!s key innovation is its real-time gameplay that enables the placing and resolving of bets every five minutes during the game.

Robert Melendres, founder and CEO, iPro Inc. said in press release Wednesday that launching into the real money sports betting market is a major milestone for the company as the American legal landscape on fantasy sports remains fluid, but he stressed that  ringit! remains 100 percent compliant on an international basis.

The new product is offered in social (free-to-play), fantasy and real money gambling formats, and game play can be tailored to the legal and regulatory framework of any given jurisdiction around the world, he said.

Fabrizio Virtuani, SVP Digital and Betting at Lottomatica, said:

"In-play betting has driven European sports book revenues to Euro 5.9 billion, and established Italy as the fourth largest betting market in the world.  ringit! brings significant innovation to the space, delivering the excitement of in-play sports betting….and tournament structures that let Lottomatica players compete amongst themselves."

Melendres was previously IGTs Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President, Interactive, leading IGTs $500 million acquisition of Double Down Interactive before striking out on his own.
