International Federation of Poker competition will feature 14 international teams
 
Respected Hendon Mob poker ace Barney Boatman has been named as captain of the British poker team scheduled to fly out next week to Cyprus for the European Nations Cup sponsored by the International Federation of Poker .
 
The tournament will pit 14 teams from around the world against each other in an innovative tournament in which there will be no dealers, no cards and players of each team will be seated in the same seat on different tables, but receive identical hole cards and play on smart phones.
 
IFP Match Poker technology is the engine driving the competition, dubbed simply "Match Poker".
 
Other members of the British team include Neil Channing, Ben Roberts, Karl Mahrenholz, John Eames, Ross Boatman and Daiva Barauskaite.
