InterPoker switching to Ongame Poker network

Tuesday April 2, 2013 :  INTERPOKER TO SWITCH TO AMAYA GROUP'S ONGAME NETWORK

Amaya gathers its interests together

In a move that continues to group its online gambling interests, Amaya Gaming is moving InterPoker to the recently-acquired Ongame Poker network, with implementation scheduled for the end of April.

The well-established site is currently part of GTech's International Poker Network, and the move will involve some player policy changes that include a ban on Danish players – at least until Ongame has managed to secure Danish licensing – and improved rakeback.

The switch was predicted by a number of poker pundits late last year, who forecast that it would have a devastating impact on the IPN due to the size of InterPoker's player base, estimated by some observers to be more than 200,000 players.

Amaya's GO e-gaming platform includes online poker and casino capability; the technology has been developed through historical acquisitions by the Montreal-based group that have included Cryptologic and Chartwell Technology .

Amaya recently clinched content deals with several major companies, including ACEP Interactive's acePLAYpoker.com; Bally Technologies; and Circus Group's Casino777.be.
