Intertain Group To Be Listed in London

CANADAS INTERTAIN GROUP TO LIST IN LONDON

Online gambling group plans to list as Jackpotjoy plc this October.

The Toronto-listed online gambling group Intertain is reportedly gearing up for a London listing under the Jackpotjoy plc brand and is to hold a special shareholders meeting later this month to brief stakeholders and secure their approval.

The plan includes moving Intertains head office infrastructure to the British capital, with the Jackpotjoy plc brand becoming the main corporate identity.

Our  readers will recall that in June this year former Gala Coral chief executive Neil Goulden joined the group as chairman, together with former Sportingbet CEO Andy McIver, who is now the chief executive of Intertain and will head the new London-listed group.

Goulden said in a statement this week:

“We are excited to have reached these important milestones in implementing the UK Strategic Initiatives. We continue to believe that these initiatives will result in a fuller and more appropriate valuation of our business and that they position Intertain for long-term growth and success."

Four new non-executive directors have been appointed to the Intertain board as part of the UK strategic planning: Nigel Brewster, CFO Keith Laslop, Jörgen Nordlund and Colin Sturgeon.

Jackpot Joy founder Noel Hayden is standing down from the board but will be available as a special adviser.

Goulden explained that Haydens decision removed "the procedural impediments that result from our close collaboration with Gamesys, which have restricted his involvement in certain aspects of the Board’s deliberations over recent months."
