INTRALOT MOBILE LAUNCHS INTO ITALIAN MARKET


Monday  September 19,2011 : Operators hoping for an early advantage of relatively virgin mobile gambling market
 
The Italian mobile market is hotting up with another new mobile service launched this week.
 
INTRALOT Mobile from INTRALOT’s Italian subsidiary INTRALOT Italia will provide customers on smartphone and tablet platforms access to sporting and live event betting on their mobile device through m.intralot.it.
 
The new service augments INTRALOT Italia’s interactive gaming portfolio entailing e-gaming through INTRALOT Italia’s website intralot.it and television through Cubovision of Telecom Italia.
 
The potential of mobile gambling is borne out by a European Commission report that showed Italy with the highest mobile penetration in the European Union of approximately 155 percent, with smartphone users doubling over the past year, commented a company spokesperson.
