Isle of Man and Estonia in agreement to cooperate

The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission and Estonian Tax and Customs Board have signed an agreement to cooperate and share information between the two gambling authorities.

Based on the principles of protection of consumers and preservation of public order, the agreement’s objective is to improve regulatory standards both in the online and land based sectors, through the exchange of knowledge, provision of assistance and establishment of a good working relationship.

Both regulators look forward to building on the provisions within the agreement to explore and improve the consumer protection opportunities that cooperation offers, to streamline processes and to create efficiencies for business, says Steve Brennan, chief executive of the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission.

“The agreement builds on the Isle of Man’s commitment to international cooperation and provides a strong endorsement of the excellent reputation and international standing that the Island has earned through more than a decade of sound regulation of gambling activity, he added.”
