Major Asian Gambling Operator SunGame Joins the Cake Network

brand new poker skin has joined the Cake Network.

Poker King, which is managed and operated by SunGame, is now the 65th poker skin to join the expanding US-friendly network since Victory Poker made the same move just months ago from Everleaf Gaming.

The SunGame gambling operator is one of the biggest in Asia.  SunGame offers online live dealers, a sports book, keno, slots, and now they have launched a poker offering to become the latest edition of the Cake Network.

In 2009 SunGame released a popular comedy poker movie in Asia called Poker King (released in August 2009 in Macau during the APT) and the name has stuck since. Many initially suggested that the film was used as a means to promote and educate Chinese people about poker, in the sense that poker was more of a skill game and not just one of luck.

A spokesperson for SunGame stated, "We are very excited and proud to launch our new Poker product and we are very thankful for the incredible support of the Cake Network. It is so gratifying to work with Cake as they support our Asian currencies and Asian languages as well as our views on marketing."

Accompanying the announcement of the launch of Poker King, Cake Network has revealed a new multi-currency display feature.  Players will be able to toggle between the currencies used in games with regards to table stakes, bet-sizing and account cashier features.  If you want to change from Dollars to Yuan than that is now possible.

The move comes to great news for the Cake Network which is now the 18th largest in the world and 4th biggest US site according to PokerScout.com.  With an average of 1,000 ring table players the Cake Network is now also slightly higher than Everest Poker.  The addition of Poker King to the Cake Network extends its grasps and claws into the East Asian market which is so far unexploited to European/American based gaming operators.
