Isildur1 Wins Another 500k

03/13/2012 :  ANOTHER PROFITABLE WEEKEND FOR SWEDISH POKER ACE

Isildur1 creams off another half a million dollars in one night's work

Just on two weeks ago the Swedish high stakes online poker player Viktor ‘Isildur1' Blom scored $577,000 over 3,837 hands against top players on the Pokerstars nosebleed tables, and last weekend he was back to repeat the performance.

Blom's epic SuperStar Showdown online match against Isaac Haxton had to be re-scheduled due to technical problems on Malta, where Haxton currently resides, and the Swede therefore decided to spend a little time on the Pokerstars virtual tables Sunday.

It turned out to be a profitable decision; over 4,000 hands of $100/$200 Pot Limit Omaha, and against opposition like Jens “Jeans89” Kyllonen, Phil “MrSweets28” Galfond, Rafi “refaelamit” Amit, Ilari Sahamies and others he produced a dazzling performance, crushing his skilled competitors and taking home $522,000 in profits after just eight hours work.

The latest big wins, allied with a $1.3 million Super High Roller victory in the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure tournament, have helped Blom to climb out of the red ink after a mediocre start to 2012 and he looks set to provide more thrills – and perhaps one or two spills – for his avid following of railbirds.

Despite their drubbing against Blom, Phil Galfond and Rafi Amit managed to emerge from the session up $185,000 and $362,000 respectively, thanks to ‘donations' from other players.
