John O Reilly hired as managing director of Ladbrokes

Second senior appointment in a month
 
The recent appointment of Andy Hornby as CEO at the Gala Coral group has been followed by another senior management acquisition, with former Ladbrokes exec John O'Reilly hired as managing director of the group's interactive division, reporting to Hornby.
 
A year ago the highly experienced and well respected O'Reilly departed Ladbrokes as its online operations director after an 18 year career. His surprise departure came in the wake of the arrival of the then new chief executive, Richard Glynn.
 
O'Reilly certainly has the experience and ability to build up Coral's online activities, backed by what appears to be a very supportive board and top management.
 
Hornby said this week that he was confident that O'Reilly's considerable online experience would make a major contribution to the company's success in the interactive gambling environment.
