Joop Pot appointed to Kansspelautoriteit


Monday July 21,2014 :  NEW MEMBER FOR DUTCH GAMBLING REGULATORY BOARD
 
Civil servant Joop Pot appointed by State Secretary of Security and Justice.
 
With effect from November 1st 2014 Joop Pot (64) has been appointed by the State Secretary of Security and Justice to the board of directors of the Dutch gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit.
 
A long-serving civil servant with experience in the Council for the Judiciary, where he was chief financial officer for the past eight years, and the Government Buildings Agency, Pot originally studied economics at Groningen University, graduating cum laude.
 
He replaces former director Paul Tang, who stood down earlier this year, and until November 1st will spend at least one day a week at the regulator in order to familiarise himself with its operations and systems.
 
On 1 July 2014, Ms JME Feije was appointed as independent chairman of the regulator's advisory objection committee.
