June 2015 Nevada gambling revenues dipped 8 percent

Latest numbers show an 8 percent year-on-year decline to $831 million.
 
The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported Tuesday that June 2015 Nevada gambling revenues dipped 8 percent year-on-year to $831 million.
 
And for the fiscal year through June 30 Nevada casino gambling revenue dropped 1.6 percent to $11.05 billion, with The Strip recording a decline of 4.3 percent to $6.3 billion over the year.
 
Gambling revenue on the Las Vegas Strip fell 16 percent to $445 million in June with the lucrative but volatile baccarat card game dropping by more than half compared to a year ago.
 
South Lake Tahoe saw a 44 percent boost to nearly $18 million. Washoe County, including Reno, dropped slightly compared to a year ago.
 
The NGCB says the state collected 8 percent more in fees for the month for $48.7 million total.
