Justin Waldron to step down after six-and-a-half years
Online social gaming provider Zynga has announced that the company's co-founder, Justin Waldron, is leaving the firm after six-and-a-half years to pursue other business interests.
Waldron and co-founders Eric Schiermeyer and Mark Pincus built the company from humble beginnings to one of the biggest on the social gaming scene
Playing his cards close to his chest, Waldron revealed little on his future plans, posting on his Facebook page:
“I’ve decided it’s time to leave Zynga and venture off on my own again. It’s been six-and-a-half years since we pushed the button to launch our first game, and each moment since has been magic.
“It’s incredibly humbling to have worked with such a talented team. I am grateful to have had the chance to help build a company that touched so many people.”
In related news, mobile social networking company Tango has announced that its gaming division will be managed by Todd Arnold, a former Zynga exec respected for his work on the wildly popular "Ville" social games.
