Five Koreans Busted For Online Gambling

Five Koreans were arrested Friday night for allegedly operating an online gambling website from a Quezon City, Philippines apartment
 
The arrested Koreans were identified as Ra Su-bo, Yung Sungki, Ko Tae-myung, Bioung Jun-lee and Woaggi Min.
 
Quezon City Police spokesman Chief Supt. Richard Albano said the suspects will be charged for violating the Access Device Regulations Act of 1998 and Presidential Decree No. 1602, which prescribes stiff penalties for illegal gambling operations.
 
The police secured a search warrant from the Quezon City Regional Trial Court before launching a raid on the apartment around 6 p.m. on Friday, said Supt. Ritchie Claraval, head of the city police detachment responsible. He said that the clientele using the illegal website were all based abroad.
 
Computer equipment and other evidence was seized by police at the scene.
