UK bookmaker techie removed international match in error
 
Ladbrokes lost important business due to a technician erroneously removing the one-day international cricket match between South Africa and Sri Lanka, that played this past weekend, off the new Ladbrokes.co.za website while managing traffic on the site.
 
As a result no in-run betting on the match was on offer to the frustration of South African punters.
 
Anli Kotze, marketing manager at Ladbrokes SA, said: "They should have removed other matches that were less popular.  We did lose some important business at the weekend as a result."
