Tuesday February 12,2013 : LEE JONES IS NEW POKER SPOKESMAN FOR POKERSTARS
 
Respected player, author and commentator will report to Rational Group's communications chief
 
The Isle of Man headquarters of Pokerstars announced Monday that poker player, author and commentator, Lee Jones has been appointed as its head of poker communications, reporting to the parent group's head of corporate communications, Eric Hollreiser.
 
As his title suggests, Jones will be responsible for all poker-related issues involving Pokerstars.
 
Speaking about his new job, Jones said: “I love poker, and I love being part of the broader poker community.  This new role will allow me to serve as the community’s representative to PokerStars, as well as PokerStars’ representative to the poker community.”
 
Hollreiser said that there were few industry people who could match Jones's passion, knowledge and experience in poker.
 
“In this role, Lee will focus full-time on using his knowledge and experience to engage audiences in forums, media, events, blogs and internally, infusing in all of us his passion and love for the game,” the Rational Group's communications chief said.
 
Jones first joined the Pokerstars in 2003 as Poker Room Manager and as President of the European Poker Tour.  More recently, he led the launch of Home Games and the poker company's just-launched Facebook social game
