Leprechaun Luck delivers a $243,261 late Christmas present to woman player at WinADay
The WinADay online casino cut a cheque for $243,261 this week for TarynL, an online punter who hit the progressive jackpot on the Leprechaun Luck slot between Christmas and New Year.
Although a large win, Taryn's big hit did not break WinADay's record – that remains with another woman player, VeraM, who collected a $255,462 jackpot in February 2012 on the Chinatown slot.
The jackpot, which is available across all the WinADay proprietary slots, was last won in July 2012, when KevinW won $161,577 win on Fair Tycoon.
The latest winner told casino management that she plays Pyramid Plunder and Hold the Riches by choice, but this time switched to Leprechaun Luck for a change, taking a break from the Christmas rush.
She plans to pay off her mortgage and indulge in an intensive shopping spree for friends and family, but won't spend all the money at once, she says.
WinADay manager Michael Hilary said the major jackpot was a great way to the year.
"We paid out four big jackpots in 2012 totaling nearly a million dollars," he noted. "Taryn won her jackpot playing on her home PC but since all WinADay games can be played on computers, Android-powered phones and tablets she could just as easily have hit the jackpot waiting for a bus or taking a break at the mall!"
