Kicking off our latest review, independent gaming software provider 1X2 Gaming expanded its offering with a new casino suite that included popular casino games such as Sharp Shooter, Red Queen Blackjack and Blackjack Players’ Choice, along with an initial offering of 16 slots titles including Cartoon Capers, Downtown, Blood Bank, and KickA$$.  More are currently under development.

A new casino game provider 5050Sports incorporates officially licensed archive video clips into a host of product variants fronted by and featuring top international sportsmen such as Michael Owen, Michael Vaughan, Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton and Simon ‘The Wizard’ Whitlock.  BetVictor was the first operator to partner with the firm.  The concept is based on the simple ‘red or black’ and ‘heads or tails’.  5050Sports gives players a straight ‘yes or no’ choice as to whether an incident will occur.

SkillOnNet was the first to distribute Amaya Gaming's much anticipated multi-superhero themed slot The Avengers.  The game features popular Marvel comic superheroes Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man, led by mysterious super spy Nick Fury, teaming up to do battle against evil across nine paylines of adventure.

Following just over a month of beta testing to a restricted audience, 888 Holding’s fast-fold online poker variant Snap Poker emerged successfully.  The product will be rolled out to a wider audience.

Ainsworth Interactive Games debuted its "Mustang Money" slot which us themed on the North American free-roaming wild horses.  It's a graphic and sound-rich 5-reel, 50-payliner that includes a Free Games feature, substitutes, multipliers and scatters.

Aristocrat Gaming augmented its portfolio with new titles "Lucky Count" and "Thunder King".

Bally Technologies Big Vegas slot machine became available online along with Cash Wave – both originally land-based casino games.  Other releases over the period of review included “Mayan Treasures” and “Pharaoh’s Dream”.

Online gambling software developer BetOnSoft released its latest 3D online slot title “Yeti Hunt”, a fun game featuring a bumbling news reporter and the elusive and infamous abominable snowman.

Sports and betting related data provider Betradar released a virtual horse racing product branded Virtual Horse Classics along with an extension to its live betting programme with Live Odds for Darts and Rugby Union.

Online gambling games developer BetSoft Gaming debuted its latest Slots3 series game titled Greedy Goblins.  The game is a sequel to its popular Once Upon a Time, and the goblins have returned to wreak larcenous havoc on the brilliant, innocent elves of Elfania.  A new Western-themed 5-reel, 30-line 3D slot titled The True Sheriff. followed – hailed as a landmark for the company as its first widescreen HD video slot developed in-house.

The Bodog brand followed up its April launch of "super-fast" Baccarat through its Live Dealer casino offering, with a fast-fold poker product monikered Zone Poker. 

Bwin Casino launched a proprietary slot titled "Shake It Up", a 5-reel, 30-payline game available in real-money mode or as a free-play demo.  Graffiti festooned walls, boom boxes and inner-city characters theme a game that features Wilds, Scatters, Multipliers and a retriggering Free Spins bonus round.

Romanian software developer CasinoWebScripts announced the release of a slew of new games.  Titles included "Ultimate Greyhound Racing", a multiplayer greyhound dog racing game, "Treasure of the Wild Bear" which carries a cuddly bear-themed game featuring free spins, an expanding beehive wild, two bonus modes and a gamble option and "Year Two" a prehistoric era-themed game where our ancestors spin the very wheel they invented during the bonus feature of the game. And then "Luxuriouslot", game that caters for those who appreciate the finer things in life such as diamonds and champagne, "Reel Cuisine" for those who enjoy fine dining and "Bingo 3D" offering several variants that include Bingo 75 and Bingo 90.

InfoPowa readers will recall the 2003-founded developer in the spotlight a couple of years back when a webmaster claimed that the graphics and sound effects of games offered by the company such as Ladies Nite, Reel Thunder and Major Millions bore a strong resemblance to those of Microgaming and Real Time Gaming titles. 

Evolution Gaming developed immersive Roulette, a multi-camera variant to its Live Roulette that enables online players to experience every bounce of the ball in HD video. The live action is shown using a variety of dynamic camera sequences, close-ups and slow-motion replays. 

Other developments saw the debut of Evolution’s new Multi-Game Play feature which allows players to enjoy any mix of up to four live online table games at once in a single master window, an online Live Dealer version of the SHFL Entertainment table game titled Live Three Card Poker, the addition of Perfect Pairs and 21+3 side bets in its Live Blackjack product.

Genesis Gaming was typically active over the period with the release of Orc’s Battle – a game inspired by classic fantasy literature depicting primal giants on the battlefield and Maritime Maidens featuring mythical mermaids who bring a light, fun atmosphere to the gaming screen.  Another graphic-rich slot followed titled East of the Sun, West of the Moon themed on an old Norwegian folktale.

Other innovative releases were Orion, Taboo Spell and Spacebotz.

Geonomics, previously known as Roboreus, recently added a second-chance offering to its GeoSweep portfolio titled Treasure Hunt, an instant-win treasure-finding game for the US lottery market.  The launch of the new product and a corporate rebrand follows a GBP 10 million investment by Tipp24 for a 25.7 percent stake in the company which was finalised in December 2012.

Novomatic Group's game development studio GreenTube launched Fruit Farm on Mecca's Novoline Interactive Slot offering.  Fruit Farm was also developed to support Mecca's multi-channel strategy and was simultaneously launched online at meccabingo.com.

International Game Technology was on the ball with the launch of its land-based Golden Goddess to the online platform and its licence agreement with Hasbro yielded the new Transformers: Battle for Cybertron, a much-anticipated slot headlining the instantly recognisable metamorphasising robots Optimus Prime, Megatron, Grimlock, Shockwave, Ratchet and Bumblebee.  Transformers: Battle for Cybertron features IGT's FreeFall cascading symbols and a free spins bonus.

IGT adapted land-based fav "She's A Rich Girl" to the online environment. Game play centers on a stylish rich girl, her spoilt dog and a pampered cat.
 
Fans of the Monopoly-branded series of slots will enjoy IGT's recent offering titled "Monopoly Dream Life”, a 5-reel, 20-payline game featuring Free Fall Symbols, Stacked Wilds and a Dream Life Bonus round in which players are tasked to build a suite of four property cards dealt by Mr Monopoly himself.


Virtual sports provider Inspired Gaming Group launched a Virtual Darts game for sports betting operators combining real darts footage and CGI animation.

iSoftBet announced the release of Bruce Lee to a games inventory that is now around 400-strong.  The game is a 5-reel, 243 Ways-to-Win online slot branded on the famous now deceased martial arts hero Bruce Lee.

Innovative Argentinean gaming studio Leander Games debuted a host of new games that included Dolly – a 5-reel, 40-fixed payline game themed on the iconic country singer Dolly Parton, Dragon Slot – which presents in the unique style of Argentine fantasy artist Ciruelo and 7 Lucky Dwarves – based on the children's fairytale depicting Snow White, the evil Queen and the seven dwarves on the reels.  Also the 5-reel, 20-payline game titled Glutters which features other-worldly creatures of the same name, Potion Factory – a 5-reel, 4-row, 40-fixed payline game themed on strange creatures and colourful potions and Castaway poker cards.  Other recent releases covered the 5-reel, 25-payline Mad Piñatas where players have to smash a piñata for chocolate and sweet symbols.  Last but not least, symbols are depicted by chess pieces in "The Queen of Thrones". 

Prolific developer Microgaming released its usual high-quality, innovative and plentiful choice of new games.  Its recently launched online branded game, a five-reel, 243 ways-to-win video slot, features the indulgent lifestyle of the Playboy brand. The game was developed by Microgaming through its licencing agreement with Playboy and follows the launch of Playboy Live Dealer earlier this year.

New tournament slots were added to its multi-play portfolio titled Leagues of Fortune, Karate Pig and Lucky Witch.  The new games augment a portfolio that is used for a variety of tournament types across the Microgaming network.

On the poker front, Microgaming released an evolved Blaze fast-fold poker product with the introduction of a Blazing Cannon Feature, and players on the MPN (formerly known as the Microgaming Poker Network) were given the opportunity to play a mini-game each time they won 20 raked hands for a bonus of up to Euro 100 in cash.  Heading the list was an amusingly risqué 5-reel, 20-payline dubbed Sweet Harvest, which comes in both Download and Instant Play format and features a romantic twist on gathering in the harvest. 
 
Microgaming’s Wild Catch – a deep sea fishing-themed game was released exclusively for Instant Play.  Features that work to increase the day's catch include wilds, scatters, multipliers and free games on this new 243 ways-to-win online slot.
  The latest Batman branded sequel to the outrageously popular Dark Knight was launched by the firm during the period of review.  The Dark Knight Rises is a five reel, 243 ways-to-win video slot offering a multitude of special features to excite fans including new game play features such as a split wild which forms a six of a kind winning arrangement, and a symbol scramble that rearranges symbols to create the best possible winning combination.

During October, Microgaming delivered three new video slots to its online casino games portfolio titled Dolphin Quest, Rhyming Reels – Georgie Porgie and Paradise Found.

Respected Swedish developer Net Entertainment released a new online slot to licensees titled Magic Portals featuring a fantasy theme of wizards and warlocks.  The company also previewed its latest Platinum Series online slot based on the well-known animated television programme South Park. The game presents with a slew of features that include Free Spins, Wild substitutions, Sticky Wilds, Bonus Games and 3 mini-features
 
The much anticipated Reel Rush classic video slot from Net Entertainment was released displaying soft graphics depicting modern fruit-style graphics and catchy animations.

In partnership with Universal, Net Entertainment launched the 5-reel, 3-row, 20-line video slot titled Creature from the Black Lagoon.  This feature-rich slot offers Wild Substitutions, Spreading Wilds, Sticky Wilds, Free Spins, and Re-Spins.

Players have the launch of Secret of the Stones to look forward to, an online slot themed on the mysterious Stonehenge prehistoric rock structure in England.

New NextGen Gaming titles, delivered via SkillonNet, debuted.  Titled Voodoo Dollars, The CodFather, Spanish Eyes, Emperor’s Garden and Teddy Bear’s Picnic.

Novomatic recently launched a host of new games, presumably developed by game development subsidiary GreenTube.  Titles include "Gorilla" and Orca- both 5-reel, 50-payline slot, Captain Venture, Marilyn Red Carpet and Cindereela – all 5-reel, 10 payline games and Two Mayans and Mega Joker.

Well timed to coincide with the U.S. World Series Baseball, games developer Nuworks launched Batter Up! The game is a baseball-themed 25 line slot with Major, Minor and Mini Jackpots and a number of features including re-spin, free games with interactive Batter Bonus prizes and ‘Extra Innings’ symbols that extend free games.

Playtech released two Marvel brand slots over the review period Wolverine and Spiderman.  Wolverine which is linked to the Marvel Multi-Level Progressive that includes other Marvel branded slots such as X-Men, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Avengers, The Incredible Hulk and Fantastic Four.  Wolverine stars in this 3D, graphic-rich offering as he battles his arch nemesis, Daken.  Spider-Man confronts his arch nemesis the Green Goblin in Playtech's Spider-Man: Attack of the Green Goblin.  This new game features two Spidey On-Reel features, Wilds and Spider-Man Collection Bonus symbols which when triggered open up one of five other bonus rounds.

Software developer Probability Jones licensed four of its formats to the Betsson Group which will be delivered via NYX Interactive's OGS.  platform.  The four new game titles Blackjack Players’ Choice, Six Shooter, Sharp Shooter and Odd One In are to be released on Betsson.com and its B2B partners during the fourth quarter, 2013.

British online slots and table games developer and supplier Realistic Games unveiled its latest five reel slot, titled Randall’s Riches.  Named after the company’s mascot, Dove Randall, who appears in each of their Flash slot games, the 10 line slot follows the adventures of Able and his trusty sidekick Mable the donkey as they seek their fortune.  Also from Realistic Games was a three-reel slot titled Hot Cross Bunnies – a x300 jackpot game with a single win line featuring a host of traditional arcade elements.

RealTime Gaming’s recent release titled Small Fortune has a theme that will have players counter-intuitively hoping for ants in a picnic setting and its new Hen House farm-themed slot offers a built-in bonus that awards free spins and win multipliers.
 


Game developer Rival launched its latest 5-reel, 25-payline game featuring the well-worn Greek Gods and Goddesses theme.  Coins of Olympus offers free spins and expanding wilds.  The base game offers a maximum win of 4000 coins.  Also from the Rival studios was a five-reel slot titled Scary Rich 3, a ghoulish offer timed for the run up to Halloween.



Hungarian social gaming developer Mgame Solutions Corporation launched its slots and video poker games online, complementing its core social poker system.   The Mgame system includes 7 Slot games and 6 versions of Video Poker, to be extended with Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat, Stud Poker, Draw Poker, Money Wheels, and Keno by the end of 2013 and to Android and iOS mobile platforms by Q2 2014.

The talented and busy folks at Eindhoven-based game developer Sheriff Gaming gave fans plenty new fodder with the release of a 3D animated slot game titled Oonga Boonga.  Themed on an Aboriginal village, the game is a 5-reel, 20-payline slot featuring cascading symbols, Multipliers, a double up game and a Feature Bonus game that awards Free Drops played in a cave on special reels.

Gold Slam followed, a new classic slot-style 3D animated game release from the developer featuring a retro layout, colour scheme, design, iconography and features. 

Gold Slam offers up some cool extras that promise generous payouts like a Double Up game, Nudging Wild symbols that can turn a Wild symbol into a Wild Reel and special bonuses for Gold 7 combos.

Another 3D animated slot titled Las Vegas Fever delivered a Las Vegas glitz and glamour-themed game featuring Multiplier Reels, Stretched Symbols, a Free Spins game, a Click Me Bonus game and an interactive Feature Bonus card game.  This is the first game from the developer that includes a bonus reel feature that awards players with a bonus multiplier on every winning spin.

Joining its portfolio of classic slot games, Random2Wins features two side-by-side machines with retro symbols.  Players can switch between the two games or play both simultaneously. A classic fruitie slot machine bearing the expected lemons, cherries and 7s.

Spin Games’ Signature series now includes slots, Video Poker Royale, new numbers games such as Rapid Bingo and Rapid Keno, a selection of table games and a range of secondary bonusing products like Wheel Power, Little Bonza and the Cash Bonusing Module.
 
Wager Gaming Technology launched Arctic Queen on Liberty Slots licencee, a 5-reel, 25-payline game.

The third installment of The Wizard of Oz series was released by Williams Interactive exclusively to its WMS Industries-owned operational website Jackpotparty.  The Wizard of Oz Wicked Riches is a 5-reel Vegas-style slot offering a Winged Monkey feature, a Wicked Riches Free Spin feature and a randomly triggered Tornado feature with a 4-tier progressive.

JackpotParty.be and JackpotParty.com, also announced the international online debut of the popular Vegas-style slot game, Bier Haus, built on the popular G+ Deluxe game engine.  It’s a proven favourite with land-based casino players around the world, with hundreds of player big win videos uploaded online. The launch of Samurai Master and Vampire’s Embrace followed, again Samurai Master is a classic terrestrial fav.

WinaDay’s latest proprietary video slot is reminiscent of one of the most popular casino games in Las Vegas; Dollar Storm is a classic slot game with win multipliers, free spins and a gambling Bonus Game.
 
WinaMax (who has subsequently exited the French market) launched Expresso, a game offering punters the chance to win random prizes ranging from two to 1,000 times their buy-in on three-handed, hyper turbo sit-and-go poker games.  The product featured a random draw as the game starts, which determines the size of the prize pool.

Maltese-licenced developer World Match launched another raft of slots over the review period including Fight Night HD – a boxing themed game, Striking Viking HD – featuring an amusing bonus round, Rockabillions HD – set to the beat of the 50's, a World War 2 era-themed Angry Angels HD, Mythos HD,  a nature-inspired game titled Bee Crazy and 50’s Pin Up HD –showcasing old-school glamour.

Yggdrasil Gaming developed a new NUMB3R series featuring titles such as: Medusa Eyes of Fire; Siamese Serpents; Precious Anuran; and Beaming Canines – all video keno games – and Sabbatical; King for a Day; Holiday Cash; Piggy Bank; and Precious Little Diamonds, which are video scratch cards.  The Yggdrasil games portfolio contains a range of classic lottery and 3D-based games with regular features providing Double-Up, Special Wins, Extra Balls, Free Rounds, Multipliers and Rapid Play action in lotto games, scratch cards and 3D Keno offerings.  Its latest initiative saw the launch of Lotto7, a daily live draw product for remote gambling operators.
