Lock Poker Finally Shut Down

Monday April 20,2015 :  HAS LOCK POKER SHUT DOWN? (Update)

Reports of large amounts of money owed to players.

Posts on player message boards and reports in online poker media over the weekend suggest that the troubled Lock Poker operation and its related online casino may have ceased operations after many months of complaints regarding slow, and more recently no payments to players

The publication US Poker reports that Lock has been unresponsive since April 17, with the website and download available but the software not connecting with the servers, the live chat facility offline, and sign-up pages inoperable.

"The website at Lockcasino.eu is operational. The software appears to be offline," the publication reports. "When clicked, the download button at Lockcasino.eu displays “service unavailable” from a USPoker connection in Nevada. A device located in another state was able to download the software, but received an HTML error when trying to log in that froze the software."

Efforts by US Poker to contact Lock Poker went unanswered, although the company's Curacao licence remains valid.

The independent online poker monitor Pokerscout meanwhile reports that player liquidity at the much-criticised site has dropped to an average of a mere 10 players during the past week, with 24 hour peaks not exceeding 20 players.

Player complaints indicate that Lock last processed a cash-out almost a year ago, and has been listed as "rogue" on some information sites since as far back as 2010.

Speculative estimates about the size of deposits held by Lock are as high as $15 to $20 million.
